AION 2 Spiritmaster: Five Spirits, One Rotation
Spiritmaster is a ranged magic summoner that rotates five elemental spirits, builds four element stacks and dumps Elemental Fusion for 15-20% of its damage.

Spiritmaster is the summoner that makes you cycle your pets. It uses an orb, deals ranged magic damage, and treats five elemental spirits as a rotation rather than a permanent pet.
The payoff is real. Elemental Fusion, the skill those spirits charge up, is worth 15% to 20% of your total damage.
What Spiritmaster is
The official Korean class guide lists eight classes, and Spiritmaster (정령성) is one of them. Its main weapon is the orb. Both factions can play it.
It is a non-positional ranged class. Nothing about it rewards standing behind a boss, and nothing about it gives you a block button either.
Why it plays differently from other summoners
Most games with a pet class give you one companion and let it work. AION 2 does not.
Each of the four regular spirits can only be out one at a time. Summoning one fires a special skill and hands you an element stack.
- Four stacks unlock Elemental Fusion, your hardest-hitting skill.
- So the loop is deliberate: bring a spirit out, fire its skill, swap to the next.
- A fifth spirit exists as a stigma skill and follows the same idea.
That design turns “pet management” into a damage rotation. It looks complicated on paper, and the macro system makes it far easier in practice.
The rotation, in order
Buff first, then damage over time, then spirits, then the nuke. In sequence:
- Apply Flame Blessing and Spirit’s Benediction.
- Lay down your damage-over-time skills for passive damage.
- Cycle the spirits to collect element stacks.
- Fire Elemental Fusion the moment it is available.
- Repeat, keeping buffs and damage over time refreshed.
No block and no real gap-closer means positioning and perfect dodging are your whole defence. Getting caught out is more punishing for a Spiritmaster than for a melee class.
The control-mode detail that changes your macro
AION 2 ships two control schemes, and the difference is easy to miss.
In action combat mode, your character stops after a skill. In tap-target mode, the character keeps auto-attacking between your inputs.
For Spiritmaster that matters a lot. The auto-attack fills the gaps in a macro and restores mana at the same time. Creator guides for the class recommend tap-target mode for exactly that reason.
How it performs
Here the paper and the reality disagree, and it is worth knowing why.
- On a one-minute dummy parse, Spiritmaster ranks low.
- In the latest conquest and transcendence dungeons and raids, it sits in the top three.
Longer fights with movement and mechanics favour it. A stationary damage race does not. Balance on the Asian service moves week to week, and global launch on October 5, 2026 reruns everything on new numbers.
Early build: where the points go first
Right after the level 45 run you have about 252 skill points, and mana is the bottleneck.
- The orb line takes mana first, and you tag it to hit as many enemies as possible.
- The spirit skills themselves get maxed. They do too many jobs to leave low.
- The main damage passive is the single highest priority on the board.
- Summon Ancient Spirit and the other stigma picks start at plus five.
- Flame Blessing can be dropped later, once you no longer need its accuracy.
On stigmas you get two clean paths: a full PvE set, or a PvP set built around fear, seal and debuff removal. The PvP picks do almost nothing in PvE, so do not mix them by accident.
Who should play it
Pick Spiritmaster if you want ranged magic damage with a layer of management on top. The class rewards attention without demanding positional play.
Skip it if you hate re-summoning, or if you want the class that wins a stationary damage race.
The class list covers the full roster, and the Sorcerer page is the direct comparison for ranged magic.
